I took the opportunity to play disc golf here as I've seen it on the pro tour and it's an iconic course. Also a bit notorious because it requires a very strong arm.
It was a nice course and enjoyable but I won't return. There's not much thought given to disc golf in the day to day operation, most notably the signs are old and unreadable, and it's hard to find tee pads (you're lucky if it's not almost completely worn out).
Regular golfers are nice and generally understanding but it's going to be a very very long round unless you jump around or get a string of nice groups that wave you through.
The vibe is amazing, the range is great, the greens are solid and the course is interesting. We went off at 8am and were done at noon with a beverage stop at the turn. Will play again next time I’m in town.
Man, what a refreshing golf experience. I booked earlier in the week and got the first tee time 5:50am. Figured I’d be paired with 3 others but ended up being just me (which honestly I prefer unless it’s people I know). The course played great, greens were pristine, holes were challenging and creative. Pace was great because there was nobody but the grounds keeping staff in front of me. Goat Hill has great vibes, very trendy and seems like a cool place to have a beer after a twilight round….which will be in my near future I’m sure. Would highly recommend this short, challenging course!
Great place to practice putting, and some chipping, with a nice view. I have played the course years ago, but I just come by mostly for a peaceful bit of practice. Have a picnic! See some local wildlife. There is a nice driving range too⛳🏌️♂️ …
First public golf course in Oceanside. Definitely feels like old California nostalgia. Indie, hipster vibe. Now owned by Link Soul. Very pet friendly. The most unusual aspect is that there is Frisbee golf going on the course simultaneously. The course plays VERY tight. Leave your slice at home. Tons of elevation changes. Walking it is not for the faint of heart.
Another expensive weekend on Greenbrier. We had another golf ball go thru the car window. One almost hitting my mom. Just add that to the list of things broken by golf balls. By the way I have both of them on video. Caught the golfer exchanged numbers and now he’s gone good luck getting money from the delinquent golfer. (Karma) Went to goat hill to try to speak with the manager he was not there imagine that. So I left my name and number for him to call and of course no response typical put your head in the sand hopefully it goes away. I am not going away. It’s time for this to stop. We all here on Greenbrier have to fight the golf course to put up a net before it hurts or kills someone. The golf course just doesn’t care about the surrounding community that’s obvious. So sad. Thought it was different. Not fair for us to keep getting pelted by golf balls because they are just to cheap to put up a net. Let’s get rid of this pest that we call goat hill.
Goat Hill is a friendly, economical, relaxed, fun golfing experience. State of the art, brand new driving range is gorgeous. The clubhouse sits atop the hill affording wonderful views of the ocean and neighboring holes. The course is challenging, lots of blind shots and lots of steep elevation changes. Greens in great shape and fairways are reasonable. There are some holes are forgivingly wide, but some par 3 holes require the golfer to really thread the needle. Hole 5 has to be one of the toughest in the county— it’s built into the side of a cliff. Overall a great experience with friendly people.
Love this place.
Fun to hang out here and practice. Range area has a cool vibe with music. 18 short course holes are a tester challenging.
Park a food truck up here and it's a homerun!
Enjoy.
